housed in the old Co-op's former butcher's shop, it retains some of the original features and is home once again to a quality food outlet that offers old fashioned service that only the independent shops can!
we love to meet and chat with our customers; and customers seem to enjoy it too! we like getting to know people; their likes and dislikes, their habits - it's worrying when one of our regulars doesn't come in on a particular day!, most importantly their feedback and support.
the shop is quickly becoming a place where our customers meet, discuss, debate and share opinions and ideas.
our opening hours are:
Monday - Friday : 9.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday : 9.00am to 2.00pm
Sunday : CLOSED
we have decided to end our late night opening for the forseeable future, if you can't make it to the shop during the week either pop over on Saturday or arrange for a delivery.
we are normally closed on Bank Holiday Mondays and the Saturday before (Fridays are as normal) : phone 01269 596931 for confirmation.
| local produce and farmers marketswe have recently started attending and selling fresh Welsh vegetables, salad and fruit produce at a range of local produce and farmers markets (some UK produce also available depending on availability - basically if we can get Welsh we will, but if not we will offer a UK alternative).

Ammanford Local Produce Market : Co-op Car Park / Top of the Victorian Arcade : 4th Thursday of the month 9.30am-1.30pm
Pontardawe Local Produce Market : Pontardawe Arts Centre : 1st Friday of the month 9am-2pm
as well as ourselves there is usually breads/cakes/pastries, cheese, olives, pickles/chutneys, fish, meat, chocolate and some craft stalls...so come along and show your support - there's no need to shop at the supermarket, there is a choice!
